Type I Compounds

In this chapter we learned about naming compounds and their characteristics. For example, a type 1 binary compound contains a metal (with a permanent charge) and a nonmetal while a type 3 binary compound consists of two nonmetals. There are a few irregular elements and some exceptions, but overall this is an easy concept that we will need to know for future units and exams.
